Congratulations to Richard Young of Virginia, South Australia whose standard gear, AeroVee powered Sonex (S/N 1566) flew for the first time on June 25th! “After 6 1/2 years of scratch building and head scratching my Sonex flies like a dream,” writes Richard of his plans-built aircraft. “Taking off on a fine still morning at YGAW. Hands off straight and level and most importantly, just easy! I need to thank the other builders out there for the odd bit of help and advice and the fellow members of the SAAA in South Australia.
