I got to be the test pilot for the first flight of my wife's Sonex tri-gear that she built (under my watchful eye of course :). Being a retired math teacher, and downright meticulous to building details, her precision shows by the way the airplane flies, stable as if it were on rails!
Many thanks go out to Joe and Tom with the Sonex Factory T-Flight training program. The transitional training made the first flight such a joy. If anyone is trying to decide whether or not to spend the money to do the T-Flight my advice is to do it. It will be the best money you will spend to get your new airplane into the air safely while minimizing first-flight stress.
