I bought this as a nearly complete kit, but put 800 hours into changes/repairs prior to FAA approval. Wonderful airplane, now with 109 hours in less than 8 months. Most fun flying I have ever had. I had some issues with some parts that should not have been used in the Corvair engine, but after they were replaced the engine is perfect. Thanks John Monnett and team. I recently flew it to Altanta and back (220 statute miles) at a gross takeoff weight of 1308 lbs (my wife and I and full standard fuel and full Aux wing fuel of 11 gal). We made the entire trip with 9 gallons left burning 5.8 gal/hr, 145 mph TAS at 5500 ft. The Corvair ran like a sewing machine!
