Plans #028 (yes 28) Sonex, Aerovee, tailwheel, first flight 7/18/2020 at KSLR Sulphur Springs Tx, builder/owner Timothy Smith. AW inspection was passed on 24 May 2020, and first flight at the crack of dawn on 18 July 2020, by the owner/builder/Test Pilot. Landed safely with very few squawks. Plans were purchased on 5 March 2000, as well as a pallet of aluminum, and started cutting metal in May. The airplane scratch building process looks daunting, but its like eating an elephant, just one bite at a time.
