Sonex 0024

The first flight of Sonex #24 (N244HB) was completed on April 14th at Smartt airport, located in Saint Charles, Missouri. It was an unseasonably warm spring day with clear skies and variable winds. Tom Huebbe, fellow Sonex builder and father to John and Mark Huebbe, acted as test pilot. Tom stated after the flight "the tri-gear Sonex is a blast to fly, climbs very well, and so easy that a blind person could land it… the Sonex is really sweet."

First flight video is available on Tom Huebbe's "Airplane Adventures" YouTube page.
