July 27, 2008: Sonex Aircraft Open House Fly-In
Oshkosh, WI

Our fifth-annual Sonex Open House Fly-In event will be held the day before the official start of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. Hours: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Stop-by and tour the Sonex factory. See our Map to get here.

July 28-August 3, 2008: EAA AirVenture Oshkosh
Oshkosh, WI

As always, we will be exhibiting at the 2008 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh air show. Stop by and see us in the North Aircraft Display area Booth 464!

Sonex Aircraft, LLC and AeroConversions products will be conducting five Forums throughout the week, plus two E-Flight Initiative-related AirVenture Panel Discussions. Additionally, Sonex Builder Phil Simon will be featured in the Affordable Flying Center, giving four forums throughout the week about his affordable AeroVee-powered Sonex and his trips to all lower-48 states. Sonex builder and author of the biography "John Monnett: From Sonerai to Sonex" Jim Cunningham will be featured in the AirVenture Author's Corner. See the the most up-to-date schedule of events in the table below.

The E-Flight Initiative Electric Waiex project will be featured in the EAA Welcome Center tent, adjacent to AeroShell Square, on the Main Admission Gate's "Main Street" of AirVenture. See the E-Flight Waiex featured in an AirVenture Preview Video.

The Sonex Aircraft Open House Fly-In will be held the day before AirVenture begins again this year, on Sunday, July 27 (see above).

Description: Sonex Aircraft, LLC has established the Sonex Education Initiative in order to encourage youth education aircraft construction projects and to help secure a place for aviation in the future of our youth. Sonex representatives will detail what the Education Initiative and Sonex Education Starter Packs have to offer. Educators currently building Sonex Aircraft as part of High School, College and Community courses will discuss their students' projects, and the merits and challenges of building aircraft in a school setting.
